Statement and Bio

The world is made up of logic and passion, and though they are friends, the two are not the same. Great art is made when passion leads the way, yet allows itself to be tempered by logic. In my art I focus on subjects that I am passionate about and each of my pieces holds a bit of my soul. I make art that represents truth and brings joy to my heart.

I am an undergraduate senior student currently pursuing a theatre major and digital media minor at Seattle Pacific University. I consider myself an artist in many different mediums, from performance to literary to visual, and have been all my life. I am thrilled by illustration and most enjoy working with watercolor, though I have had experience with graphite, charcoal, watercolor, ink, gouache, and digital tools. My inspiration tends to come from literature and children’s books; words and pictures combined have fantastic power.
